WahlheYmat Talks - Newcomers and Foreigners in Berlin’s Cultural Leadership

The cultural scene is perhaps the only sector in Berlin where foreigners are often invited to lead institutions, valued for their knowledge and fresh perspectives. We will talk with them about their experiences—how they were able to realize their visions, how they view the potential for change within administrative and democratic structures, and how they experience inclusivity and equal opportunities in practice while leading an institution. We aim to explore these topics with our guests and the audience.

WahlheYmat Talks is a monthly discussion series focused on renewing democracy. Together with guests and the audience, we discuss different perspectives on how democracy in Berlin can be made accessible to everyone and adapted to the digital age.
